DESCRIPTION OF EVENTS

Choosing KAE International Movers for your upcoming move is the first step to a smooth removal service. In order to familiarize yourself with the removal process, let us take you through a series of events which have been outlined below:

The Survey - The Initial Meeting between You & Us

The Survey - The Initial Meeting between You Us

Once an appointment has been arranged with one of our members of staff, we will appoint a surveyor who is not only experienced in calculating volume, but also very familiar with the process of your entire move from A to Z. It is important to us to be able to answer any questions that you may have on the same day of performing the survey. Our aim is to bring a sense of understanding of certain important events BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER the move has been completed.

The surveyor’s main role is to:

a) calculate the volume of goods that need to be moved

b) recognize any special handling items that need to be moved or crated

c) assess the type and the quantity of materials to be used

d) assess the access conditions (e.g. if trucks/containers are able to park outside your residence/office areas etc)

Usually, surveys can take between 45 minutes to 1½ hours, depending on the volume. Once the survey has been completed, it is best to set aside approx. 20 minutes to answer any questions that we or you may have.

The Quote – Our Cost Estimation Based On the Survey

The Quote – Our Cost Estimation Based On the Survey

With the valuable information which we gathered at the survey, we aim at sending a written quote to you via email, fax or by post between 48 and 72 hours. Our quote is based on the reports from the survey combined with the information given by you (i.e. the volume of goods to be moved, and where the goods are to be moved to).

The Follow up – Our Concern of Identifying if Your Requirements Have Been Met

The Follow up – Our Concern of Identifying if Your Requirements Have Been Met

You are always welcome to call us at any time to ask any questions, but we will also call you a few days after the quote has been sent, so that we can answer any additional questions you may have.

Accepting Our Quote – Our Commitment to You , Your Commitment to Us

AcceptingQuote

Accepting our quote means that you are accepting the services that are to be provided for you in writing. It is our contract that commits us to you, and you to us. In order for a smooth move to be effective, moves should be booked at least 2 – 3 weeks in advanced so that proper scheduling of events can be planned. Booking last minute moves only creates complications. To accept our quote we will require:

a) Order of Services

b) A committed packing and removal date

c) A deposit

Insuring Your Goods – Your Protection Plan

Insuring Your Goods – Your Protection Plan

Kae International’s reputation in national and international packing and transporting has surpassed our customer’s expectations. It is our responsibility to provide the greatest care of every single item that is packed in order to protect your goods while in transit. We also must acknowledge that any moving service is exposed to risks. Insurance will cover you for any “unpredictable” event. We can not make personal recommendations on “how much” you should insure your effects, however, we do recommend to all of our clients to take insurance when moving. You should complete and return your Itemized Valued Insurance List to your moving coordinator within a minimum of 48 hours prior to the commencement of packing.

Your goods should be insured for their full replacement value in the country to which you are moving. It is likely that the cost of repairs as well as replacement will be higher abroad. If you do not insure for full replacement value you will only be able to recover part of your loss from insurers.

Kae International Movers are representatives of ALLIA INSURANCE COMPANY BV (Belgium).

Depending on the shipments, whether originating from the EU or not, there are certain customs requirements involving documentation which is implemented on household goods or office effects. Our staff will prepare the necessary documentation that is required to be submitted to customs authorities. It is your responsibility to have the paperwork stamped at a notary or a police station which bears witness to your authenticated signature, which allows the customs clearance process to proceed.

Destination Services – Your Successful Door-to-Door Move , Our Successful Track Record

Removals-E

Our success in moving our customers door-to-door has been recognized by our achievement of choosing same service providers that have been recognized and accredited by important bodies of the removal industry, and who will perform superior services at destination. If moving internationally (Outside of EU), it is always recommended that proper documentation has been obtained by the origin embassy so that there are no complications at destination (some countries are more difficult than others). Intra Community moves (within EU), are much easier and less documentation is required. It is suggested that you are in the country of where your goods are being moved to, at least 10 days prior to arrival to organize dates of delivery and other formalities that could be required. The team appointed at destination will help with your import customs documentation, offloading, unpacking, setting up and a list of additional services that can be arranged, in order for you to experience a smooth and seamless move that will meet with all your expectations.
